Giada Ganassin is an Italian artist based in France.
She has been developing a drawing practice on different medias, from paper to ceramics, including tapestries, tram and cities walls.
She is interested in what is hidden beneath the surface, which she interrogates as an archeologist digging the soil or a journalist questioning the passers-by.
This desire to confront the essence of things has also shaped her graphic practice. Her refined and schematic lines define compositions where forms find themselves stripped of any attribute
other than their contours.
Giada’s work has been presented in personal and group exhibitions in Europe (France, Netherlands, Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom), it covers the tram running through the city of Angers in France and it permanently adorns the walls of the Centro Empresario 3as in Maia, Porto, where Giada created an azulejos fresco inspired by the factory workers who were on site.
Since 2020, Giada collaborates with object designer François Bonnot as Bureau Idéal, bringing illustrated stories on objects, spaces and interiors.
